As you can see, we got there early and sat on pillows at the very front. It is the best, other than the benches!

An Experience to Have
The Preservation Hall Jazz Band is housed in Preservation Hall right next to Pat O's in the French Quarter of NOLA. I have now been to their show about 4 times, and every time is a treat. It is a very small room, with 2 benches, a couple pillows up at the very front, and standing room in the back. It is cramped as hell very intimate. Every New Orleanian must go to Preservation Hall at least once, I think, to be considered a true New Orleanian. No, living out your vices during Mardi Gras doesn't do it. No, knowing how to pronounce the street names doesn't do it either. PHJB is what indoctrinates you into the culture.
As you can see, we got there early and sat on pillows at the very front. It is the best, other than the benches!
